New Ford SUVs: Bronco & Bronco Sport

The new Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport enter as new off-road-ready SUVs that boast ample power, tech, and versatility. The Ford Bronco Sport is available in five trim levels, two engine options, and a standard 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display. The Ford Bronco is a more off-road-focused version that includes more performance features and a seriously powerful base engine.

Ford Bronco Sport

The Ford Bronco Sport brings a more urban focus to the Bronco while also retaining off-road capability. The Ford Bronco Sport offers up two engine options, with the base offering being a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-3 variant that makes 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. If the base offering is less than ideal for Alvin drivers, then stepping to the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 might be a good idea. The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine makes 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. Both engines work with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Standard Equipment

Standard equipment with the Bronco Sport ranges from an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display to Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a Co-Pilto360 driver assistance safety suite, and a terrain management system with G.O.A.T modes. If you’re looking to increase interior comforts, then stepping to the Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks is a great option. The Outer Banks trim offers Pearland and Webster drivers a heated steering wheel, leather-trimmed seats, and heated front seats. The most performance ready trim with the Ford Bronco Spot is the Badlands. The Bronco Sport Badlands includes an upgraded four-wheel drive system, increased ground clearance, larger off-road shocks, and a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with paddle shifters.

Driver Assistance Features – Ford Co-Pilto360

Both the Bronco Sport and Bronco include a robust set of driver assistance features thanks to the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite. The Ford Co-Pilot360 suite bundles together a host of driver assistance features to provide Webster drivers with (potentially) increased driving confidence. Driver assistance features included with the Ford Co-Pilto360 suite range from auto high beams and rear cross-traffic alert to blind spot warning and lane-keep assist.

Ford Bronco

The Ford Bronco is built with mainly adventuring in mind. Friendswood drivers looking for a spritely off-road SUV that touts sleek styling, serious power, and a long list of performance features can look to the new Ford Bronco with confidence. The new Ford Bronco offers League City drivers a standard 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine that makes 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The Ford Bronco also offers up a 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 engine that makes 310 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. The new Bronco Sport is available in two- and four-door variants while also offering up a variety of tire, tech, and comfort features.

Standard Equipment

Even in its most basic form, the Ford Bronco features a seriously impressive set of features for Alvin area drivers to enjoy. The Ford Bronco includes Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, a 12-inch infotainment display, a basic audio system and vinyl-trimmed seats.

Highlights

Steering to a higher trim level ensures increase tech, comfort, and (most of all) performance capability. Notable upper trim features include a Bang & Olufsen audio system, a 12-inch infotainment display with navigation functionality, and leather-trimmed seats. Performance upgrades are quite extensive, so we’ll just be covering the Sasquatch package. The Sasquatch package includes electronic front/rear axles, four-wheel drive, a high-clearance suspension, a high-performance off-road suspension, and Bilstein positioned sensitive shocks.
